Default Some at home paint work!

Finally decided to do some painting after thinking about this for some time.
Up next is the b&w roundels & painted reflectors. Matte Black VMR V710's coming on at the end of the month, with a drop after the winter.
Good progress for today, just a few touchups behind the mirrors tomorrow.

I like the look. Mind if I ask what kind of paint you used and what was the prep on the window trim?

Thanks! I used valspar latex based flat black paint, and for the grills and splitters just regular plastidip. All I did was clean the trim, and use 600 grit sandpaper and sanded it. 3 coats of paint was applied. The most important parts were taping the outside correctly, and also peeling the tape off so the paint doesn't chip. Under the mirror was also a pain in the ass, but in the end I'm proud of the result.

That trim looks great, I keep going back and forth on if I should do mine.

Good work!. I'd be afraid to paint parts on my car without removing them LOL.

Thanks! Yeah I was nervous throughout most of it, but taking of the exterior trim is the biggest pain in the ass in the world. If I took it off there is no way I would of gotten it back on.

yeah it is a bitch to remove the trim around the windows very true. I give you props for painting it on the car though. Like I said I wouldn't do it! lol.
But working on my engine and mechanical parts.... well that's a totally different story. I'll do that with my car any day.
