from what I've heard ebay headers are actually one of the best bang for your buck mods on an e46 m3. I'd guess the grills and emblems are the same on ebay or some expensive euro tuning site.

I have had zero problems with the smg tans.

I love how much attention the car gets now, the more I look at the car I think I am going to keep the tail lights blacked out, it just looks tough. With the stock "LED" tail lights under the tint when I press the brake or turn signals the led lights give a cool effect through the tint.

the headers are being installed as I write this, I cant wait to feel and hear the difference.
No problems with the kn intake, so far...I think with the headers and exhaust the intake will complement the power gains nicely. The next mod will be pulleys and a chip, I will call uuc to find out the options they can offer me with my model and mods. Btw the st coil over kit, which is made by kw is without a doubt the best mod I made on the car, the coil overs in conjuction with rouge front and rear bushings and rear shock mounts changed the cars handeling from good to insane!

    Great looking car!

IMO - having similar car, I agree with what was said. Ditch the K&N, you'll get more heat soak than anything. Stock intake with a upgrade panel filter is your best bet. As for chips, there is really only two companies I'd consider. ESS or Evolve. Dont waste your time with the others.

I myself have the ESS. I got the programmable tune which allows me to switch from tune to stock. It also a benefit to have the programmable version because you dont have to send your ECU unit out. They actually email you your tune. I also have the ability to have up to 10 custom tunes, in case I decide to go headers, or even SC route. I just buy additional tunes. Additional tunes cost roughly around $200. It all depends on how complex the tune is. I've heard ESS charge no money for even a simple tune. They are truly an outstanding company.

    Good Luck!

Ebay headers are a great upgrade for a none M E46. It does increase HP by about 5-15 and it sounds great.
I wouldn't put them on an M though.

Isenmann may sound good but it's actually almost exactly the same as stock exhaust system other then the muffler at the end lol. Meishter is built by Isenmann as well so there about the same. The only TRUE tuner that was ever really accepted by a dealership and didn't void a warranty was Dinan. I remember those days.... you could go into a BMW dealership and buy a fully DINAN M3 and have a full warranty.

Eisenmann - And no it doesn't sound like a stock exhaust. I currently have the race version and its far from stock sounding. Even the sport which my good friend has is not even close to stock.

IIRC, Meisterschaft is its own company. Eisenmann has no affiliation with them. There was a huge thread on this in the BMW M3 forum where people thought that Meisterschaft was an Eisenmann when in fact it wasn't.

Dinan is a good tuner with quality products, but I dont think they are the only true tuner out there. Personally I think they are over priced for what they are. I also have one gripe about their M3 exhaust (E46). Fake tips! If they are a true tuner, why couldn't they make their exhaust a true quad exhaust?
