Back when I first got the car and said it could be done... people said I didn't know what I was talking about (people who didn't even have the car LOL )
I dont remember, but drew was on drag radials on his 11 second run correct? radials alone with a good driver, especially matched with launch control and dct will get very good results. that can be said for many cars out there. I would even bet the new 997.2 turbos with radials would break into the 10s.

Well, the turbo is AWD so it may even do 10's on street tires in the right conditions with the right fuel.

Yep, he ran drag radials and you definitely need drag radials with the M3.

    Yes.

Main issue was overheating on the drag strip after the burnout.

Transmission handled the power fine from a roll and when not burning out. It is just the SC + burnout + launch control that caused overheating issues.

I had a custom transmission cooler built and I will now be doing the world's first BMW DCT transmission build as well. I simply did way too many launches on the drag strip since I had the car (around 60+) and I abused the crap out of it.

I will be posting a project thread and doing step by details of the build for all of you! Then... I think I will crank up the boost until it pops and build the motor

I love your mentality. Just keep going and if it breaks, build another one and try again.
