You will face issues with any used car, just be prepared for it and you will be ok.
On a side note, I've always loved the LSB color, so much

I think the first question here is...why does it have a salvage title?
Never put up with something high maintenance, unless it's high performance.

Be careful. Laguna Seca Blue was a color ONLY available in 2001. Are you sure it is a 2005? Of course it could have been painted, just look out.

Love and miss my old E46 M, but avoid the temptation of a salvage title at all costs. It will be a pain to sell down the road.

I wouldnt even consider it if it has a salvage title. That alone would be enough for me to walk away no matter how nice it appeared.

Price is a little high for a salvage but not bad. If repaired correctly, it could be a nice buy. But you will never recover your money. Buy it and drive it like you stole it.

I'd only buy it if you're planning on driving it a lot. It won't be as easy to sell, but oh well. Drive the crap out of it and enjoy it!!
Did your cousin get it repainted to LSB? I think that could hurt the value too possibly.“The world makes way for the man who knows where he is going.”

Any paintwork kills the value, but the salvage has already murdered it's value. Generally speaking if it has a salvage title, it is worth 55-60% of its value. If the buyer is ok with it and wants a toy, by all means get it. Just don't think you'll sell it easy or get near your money back. $18500-$19500 is what it should be bought for.

I don't know about the price but considering the upgrades and that I'm going to use this as a DD I'm ok with the title but this will be my first and last salvage car lol.
I'm going to use it as a DD. I really don't know if he painted it or not but I certainly have questions about the title and paint." I would rather sacrifice my time now than have to work a job for the rest of my life"
