E92 M3 Retrofitted LED Angel Eyes + Full Headlight Blackout *PICS*
So after seeing a friend with his headlights done by OSS in Miami I was sold. The brightness of the angel eyes OSS uses is amazing. So immediately I look into it and learn that I'd need to ship my headlight to Florida and wait to get them back - for me that just would not work as I DD my car.
I was never too satisfied with bulb replacements, I guess my opinion was swayed after seeing how bright they could be. It was a few months back that another friend got his lights done and immediately I asked, OSS? His response was not what I expected, but I was glad to hear it - He told me that he got his headlights done at a place in Northern NJ, LightModz.
To be honest the name jumped out at me and I was already feeling a bit suspicious - I didn't want to trust my headlights with just anyone. I began to do more research and learned that LightModz actually sources the exact same parts OSS uses to do their angel-eye retrofits. I also was taken back by the sheer volume of customers this shop is getting, so I bit the bullet and shot them an E-Mail.
Jehad (Jay) replies back quickly and we go back and forth for almost a month, mainly because I'm indecisive and rather impulsive (not a good combination). We settled on doing the Angel Eye retrofits + a Full Blackout of my headlights.
Ok now on to what you've been waiting for...
Pulled into LightModz' shop

Stock

Nice little waiting area

Starting the teardown

Headlight components taken apart, ready to be primed

Everything is primed

New LED rings, ready to be fitted

Headlights gutted

The final result

I am not only pleased with the end result of Jay's work, but also with his professionalism. Everything was looked over meticulously to ensure that when reinstalled, everything fit perfectly. Jay even replaced some screws that were missing in my bumper at no charge. We've had quite a bit of rain since I got there about two weeks ago and I am happy to report that there is no condensation inside my headlights. As an added bonus, I took the car to the dealer last Friday - They noticed the headlights were different, but they did not alter the warranty of the vehicle.
Now I get more compliments for headlights than anything else on the car

Yeah the LED angel eyes will always be the best. I have orion V2s on my bimmer, there just as bright if not brighter than the ones you've got.

Those OSS lights are the best you can get for the E92. The boys at M3post all swear by them. I haven't heard or seen the Orion V2's. I'm pretty happy with my LUX H8's which are probably the second best option out there for a third of the price.
Cheers,
Nick
