    To the OP, I don't know the depeciation really well on a car like this in the US, but I think you will loose more money selling this car, (already hitting into some depreciation), buying a new one, (modding it like this one = $$), then selling it for a new M6 or the new gen 7 series when it comes out (more depreciation)....

    Rather than just enjoy the car as it is until the next generation comes out??

    I will keep this 7 series for a while and when the M6 is proven to be reliable (many first gen cars aren't), THEN I will pull the trigger.

    reason why I am leaning towards purchasing the M6 is because I have always wanted an ///M model BMW and also a sports coupe, havent had neither and I loved the way the previous M6 was made and drove and I suspect this one to be even better
