    Awesome footage. I would imagine riding in the cockpit rather than the cabin would be much more entertaining.

    Maybe I'm just naive, but does the autopilot land the planes these days too? In several landing shots it looked like their hands were only working switches, but maybe the hands were just out of view.

    Either way, cool video to watch.

    some planes are equipped with an autoland system. I think some of the newer 737's are the smallest but I could very well be wrong. its called a Cat III approach

    Don't forget that the pilots feet are controlling the rudder (left/right).

    Boeing is working on the autoland for the 787, but they ran into an issue with it - runway damage from the airplane landing in the same location repeatedly.
