Default Qantas QF32 - A380 Uncontained Engine Failure (Video Special)

Found this Australian special today about Qantas Flight 32 that on 4th of November 2010 suffered an uncontained engine failure and was forced to make an emergency landing at Singapore Changi Airport. It's a good watch but if you are fearful of flying, you might not want to view this one.

    lessons learned:

    a) never fly the first one delivered. put it in a museum or something...

    b) SFI scattershields exist for a reason.

    c) always check the oil level before you go

    d) make sure your drill presses and CNC machines run true

    e) no drinking while operating said machines

    f) general electric makes some damn good engines

    g) this flight crew is even better than a ge engine

glad no one was physically hurt. thats whats important. one important thing is the part where the kids were in school, they said a piece landed next to a five year old. five year olds in elementary school? no wonder that country is coming up...

Interesting video.......funny this is the first I've heard about it. Maybe if the Kardashians were onboard it would have made the news. Something so simple could take down something so complex.
