Thats our weather mod research jet, its got a whole bunch of pods for measuring air temp cloud droplet size etc etc. Its used alot to test what happens along storm fronts and it also calibrates satellite feeds. Lately its been used to help with low level wind shear research stuff.
The call sign of it is "cloud 1" i love it."For once you have tasted flight, you will walk the Earth with your eyes turned skyward; for there you have been, and there you long to return. "

Not at all as it is pertinent to what we are talking about.
Long version: I literally take my life into my hands every day in educating people on how to navigate the skies and bringing the new pilots of america to fruition. All while integrating the latest and some times experimental equipment and even a few experimental air frames. I also am teaching the teachers of tomorrow how to better educate the future of commercial and private aviation.
Short version: Im a Flight Instructor.
I think the long version sounds better personally

KC-135R/KC-135T. Makes for the occasional nice photo op, depending on the receiver(s).
I have also flown Diamond DA-20s, the T-6 and the T-1.

Thanks.
Boeing has the contract for the KC-46 and they should be in production or starting very soon. There haven't been any official announcements yet where they'll be going but most people expect Fairchild to be the first base they head to. It'll be interesting how the camera system works with anti-ice fluid on the fuselage... :/Dave - pics!

HH-60M Blackhawk. Though this pic was a UH-60A at flight school. The IP is a friend from my old Battalion, who gave me my nickel ride in the Hawk.
