Jesus! Imagine turning downwind for that landing, how fast he must be going with all that wind. Crazy spot landing!

My younger brother is a pilot, and spent some of his early days flying cubs in the bush, both in Alaska and the Great Plains. He said it's weird to learn because it's backwards from all normal thinking and training, but amazing once you get the hang of it. Take off in 4' and land in 8 to 10, if he had a good strong headwind.
He was telling me a story about a guy who hired him in Montana (IIRC) to fly him to a fishing spot. He'd fly people in and out to prime locations along various rivers and streams and cut down the travel time to and from, and the (sometimes 5 or 7 miles) hiking needed to get to some choice spots for fly fishing.
They're 400 or 500 feet in the air and he points down saying "OK, that's the hot spot right there for fishing" (pointing down to a sand bar in the river) He said the guys eyes light up and he's saying "THAT? It's no larger than a small bus! You'll never land there!"
He picked up an extra 100 bucks on side bets any time he'd drop people off and pick them up.

If there is zero headwind, they can land / take off easily in other short spots. Not as short as 10 feet, but still impressively short spaces.
