Actually that is not the responsibility of ATC to make sure a aircraft has spacing while taxing. Rather that was the Captains responsibility of the A380. At night, ATC can see individual aircraft, however could not and cannot judge wingtip spacing on particular aircraft. Not to mention that the A380 has about six cameras on it that are all selectable from the cockpit. Finally, if you look at the speed of the A380 on the taxi, he was going way to fast. Taxing fast in a 737 is one thing (aka Southwest Airlines), taxing fast in a A380 around a terminal area is inexcusable. The Captain of the A380 was at blame.

Im not an airport fanatic but arent there zones on an airport where small planes have places for themselfs etc? I agree that he was going too fast but its weird that the ATC let that happen just like that. You dont just treat the A380 just like any other plane, weird that they didnt take any extra procautions when having the A380 on the airport and knowing it takes up much space.
I know its not their first time either having the A380 on the airport but this happening was still weird and odd
