Training to be a chopper pilot
Hi guys,
Assuming the TSA approves my app for flight training (I'm a UK citizen
), I'm going to be off and running in my pursuit of an career as a helicopter pilot. I'm going to be 20 next month so I have plenty of time, and I have the funding to procure all of the needed ratings and certifications.
I just wanted to start this thread to see if you guys have any pointers and do's/don'ts for what I'm about to embark on. Please let me know of anything, I'm all ears!
Thanks,

Good luck man, I'm looking to get my fixed-rotor license soon. Where in Westchester are you?

only advice i can give is to line up a job before you start paying all sorts of money for training. helo jobs are much more rare than fixed wing and with no military experience you are going to have a very tough time competing. if you have some good connections that can guarantee you a job then thats 3/4 of the work done right there. enjoy your adventure!
