    Thanks for this. It never gets old.

    I would add this to my bucket list. Being out here in the left coast, I've NEVER seen any launch. My brother has since he worked for Lockheed but that was back in the day of the Apollo programs and Saturn rockets - he was a young electrical engineer that had documents of how detonators functioned for staged rocket separations. One day, when I was probably 5 or 6 years old (he's 20 years older than me), he brought back some black and white photos of the moon during Apollo 9 (?) when they were looking for a landing spot for Apollo 11.

    His last stint was programming the system for the international space stations articulated arms of the solar panels. Showed us the video of that piece as all Lockheed employees get when they finish a project.

    AMAZING! Watching the space shuttle must be one of the best things in life to witness. Sucks to know that shuttle launches are almost over and the space program getting so much of their funding cut.
