    Because they grew too expensive to maintain and when the Air France one crashed, that was the final nail.

    I remember someone at Air France or British Airways that mentioned during a documentary about the Concorde that it never turned a profit. It was more of a prestige thing.

    I don't know why they'd run it for 30 years with no profit, but dumber things have been done.

    That's about the most awesome aircraft ever built in my opinion....absolutely beautiful.
