@Markus you're more likely to die at an EDM event than in a small aircraft lol.
This is true, but for some people, no matter how many statistics or facts you present them with, the fear will always be there. Some people just have irrational fears. I have plenty of friends who are terrified of flying, and I assure them it's by far one of the safest forms of transportation available, but some people just can't shake that fear. I heard once on a program that you had a better chance of being bitten by a shark then struck by lightning on your way to the hospital than you do of dying in a commercial plane crash.

I love flying, My kids love flying...my wife swears she'll never fly in anything smaller than an embraer 173....only time will tell but she went from riding on the back of my sport bike to being afraid of everything. Go figure

As well as, "bad wx, the young pilot takes off and crash lands, the little more experienced pilot takes off and has to return, the experienced pilot didn't even take off in the first place." Something to that affect.
So much wisdom in this quote...I think all of us have made a bad decision to go at some point and we kick ourselves from the second the wheels lift off. When the going gets tough the tough get going. Glad that this story ended safely, so many people don't make it back from situations like this.

On a completely unrelated note, this is the paint scheme my close friend has on his 182, went out to the Cessna Factory in April to pick it up and fly it back with him.
