This is true, but for some people, no matter how many statistics or facts you present them with, the fear will always be there. Some people just have irrational fears. I have plenty of friends who are terrified of flying, and I assure them it's by far one of the safest forms of transportation available, but some people just can't shake that fear. I heard once on a program that you had a better chance of being bitten by a shark then struck by lightning on your way to the hospital than you do of dying in a commercial plane crash.

I love flying, My kids love flying...my wife swears she'll never fly in anything smaller than an embraer 173....only time will tell but she went from riding on the back of my sport bike to being afraid of everything. Go figure

So much wisdom in this quote...I think all of us have made a bad decision to go at some point and we kick ourselves from the second the wheels lift off. When the going gets tough the tough get going. Glad that this story ended safely, so many people don't make it back from situations like this.
