Thread: Vossen Project- Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG

About two weeks ago we got interactive with our FACEBOOK fans and officially teased and announced our Vossen Project Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG. The response was overwhelmingly positive with our choice and we could not be happier. So we wanted to share our project with L4P and it will become a build thread you can follow to see our progress.

The Vision was simple. Choose a vehicle that blends power, grace, luxury, comfort, beauty and sport and enhance it with Vossen's Vision and Interpretation of how to elevate those characteristics. Among a great field of vehicles the Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG stood out as the definitive choice.

This CLS AMG chosen is OEM Matte White called officially "designo Magno Cashmere White" a rare choice among most vehicle colors. The heart is the engine, a handcrafted AMG 5.5 liter Bi-turbo engine with 518hp and a 0-60 time in the high 3/low 4 second range with the 1/4 mile in the low to mid 12 second range. It has a 7 speed AMG SpeedShift MCT Transmission with ECO Start/Stop (shifts are as fast as 100 milliseconds in the sport mode) with the AMG ride control Sport Suspension and AMG brakes 6 piston up front and 4 piston in the rear.

Inside the Premium Black Leather with the Piano Black Lacquer Wood Trim and black Alcantara Headliner was chosen, a brilliant contrast to the Matte White Paint, blending luxury and sport. This vehicle is also equipped with the P01 package which includes multiple options and full LED headlights, which in our opinion look brilliant when lit.

The vehicle comes equipped with 19" AMG 5 spoke alloy wheels, measuring 19x9 front and 19x10 rear with 255/35/19 front and 285/30/19 rear tires. These will be replaced immediately with a new set of Vossen Concave Wheels, can you guess what we will go with first?

We will share our thoughts and our modifications with this build and hope you follow it and will enjoy the process. This vehicle arrived highly anticipated and we have already moved to stage one of the modification process.

Round 1 of mods! The AMG brakes were painted Fahrenheit orange and a full KW Suspension kit has been installed.

Today on the way to RENNtech for an ECU upgrade and DYNO!!!!!

I love this car, cant go wrong. Can't wait to see the final outcome of this project.
