It's definitely an 80's Malibu Wagon with the roof hacked off.
That's certainly taking the "minimalist" dash/instrument panel to the extreme.
edit - Upon further observation, it looks like the interior was done by a mid 80's boat upholsterer...guess that makes since for a car with no roof.
