Funny you should say that. I did'nt want to make a comment in that direction, cause I did'nt want to piss anyone off. I was the lead tech at a Ferrari/Maserati dealer here in Silicon Valley for 2 years before opening my own business. I have driven Enzos, Stradales, F430s, 599s, 612s etc etc. As a true proffesional tech (as in your career and mortgage depends on it) My self and my coworkers never abused the privaledge of road testing cars. Sure we would drive them at "speed", but never beat on them. Dumb, lame, immateur techs deserve to get fired. Just my two cents.

I don't think it's limited to any single type or make of car -- it's down to the person -- i had a friend that worked at a BMW dealership; he worked as a porter and would sometimes deliver the cars -- he worked with about 4 other guys.

well, one day, two of the guys were about to deliver a brand new M5 to a customer and decided it would be a good idea to gun it when leaving the dealership -- well, the metrolink/commuter train runs right through near the dealership -- these guys gun it, and hit the tracks, which are on a sort of large hump -- and get air in the car, bottom out the suspension and break off the front bumper, completely ruining the car.

the worst part of all of this? the damn management at the dealership didn't even fire those guys.

Imagine bringing your Ford GT into the Ford dealer. I would have to camp in the waiting area.

OWNED! ha ha, someone's getting fired (although chances are they're managers and the owner of the dealership will never find out)
