Buying a car through Google Checkout, anyone done it?

I'm currently talking to the seller of a car and he wants to use Google Checkout to sell the car (an E60 M5). I've never heard of this before? Apparently there's a 7-day protection program that has him ship me the car and I can test drive it, inspect it, etc before the funds are released to him.

Any feedback would be great. This is the VIN for the car in case anyone can check anything I can't: WBSNB93508CX08604

Of course it's a good deal. Seems to be a scam huh? He did respond to my email which most scammers never do.

I really can't believe people (especially tech savvy people) fall for this stuff.. i mean seriously, do a 5 second google search and it will net you 5000 results "paying for a car using google checkout"

Yeah I hear you, just had never heard of Google Checkout stuff. I've asked for a phone number and more photos of specific photos.

just faster to ask here and listen to people I trust... Google isn't always right

I bought a car on google checkout 2 years ago. The guy said it's on the transport right now and I should get it next week. I can't wait!
