Default Help, Which one should i do.

I am looking for a DD and have a few on my list. I need to stay around $10k-14k. Looking for something fun and sporty. If I could find a WRX there would be no question... I have been looking for months and can't find any in my range.

I don't want you to pick for me. I would like advice based on your experience with one of the vehicles.

    Dodge Neon SRT-4
    VW GTI 2.0T
    Acura RSX
    VW Jetta 1.8T
    Audi A4 1.8T

also please comment on maintenance issues and/or cost

    Thanks

I'd go with the VW 2.0T as long as it's DSG ... had too much fun shifting up and down in that car. No clue on maintenance nor cost; friend's car.

Yeah I'm leaning towards the GTI ... I've always had Honda's with not issues...ever. I want to move on to something different though and I;m thinking euro. I love the look. I just don't want a lot of issues or crazy maintenance cost. Also, What's DSG is that like an auto shifter?

The DSG is the dual clutch. Seamless gear changes; I love it. 2 door or 4 door? go 2!

If you haven't already driven a rsx type s, the redline is 8300 and its a lot of fun to drive, so try to get behind the wheel and hit vtec a few times.

One of my roommates has a b6 a4 1.8t and its a great car as well. Very reliable and still looks good even after a few new generations have come out.

My other roommate has an 06 gti 2 door and its a fun car as well. definitely feels much more solid and well built than my rsx.

I wouldn't really even look at jettas or srt4's. neither one seem like a car i'd want to drive- chick car or neon. (yes i know the srt4 is fast but its still a neon)

GTI for sure. I had a 04 1.8t and it was so solid, the only problem I ever had was bulb's burning out. I like the DSG but its so smooth it's almost boring.
