Then we brought back the iconic car in 05 and to this day is one of the most sought after super cars cause of it's performance, price, and dependability.

Also what about the Viper? I'm pretty sure it holds one of the fastest production car lap times on the Nurburgring with a time of 7:22. The Bugatti which is $1,000,000 more than the Viper did it in 7:40 so right there shows that the Bugatti is great in a straight line but take it on a track and it'll get dominated. So what's the point of spending all that money on a car that only does one thing well?
I think the viper is 3rd now for road legal cars. The Gumpert Apollo speed and porsche gt2rs are faster at the ring now. But still this dude keeps saying america doesnt build great cars and cant explain himself.

The American car market can't support a vehicle like that. To Giannis' point Bugatti had the technology and funding of the VW group behind them to be able to pull off the Veyron. A small upstart like this new Dagger is just a pipe dream without the huge budget of a major American car manufacturer. And with the horrible mismanagement of the Big Three lately, I think it is more than reasonable to say than an American company cannot make take that big of a step right now.

    I call BS. 300mph? Yeah...ok.

I wouldn't drive it anyway with that low of rear "rollover" protection if it does 300MPH.

What exactly makes the bugatti an engineering marvel though, its not that great at the track(at least from what ive read), an 8 litre W16 with 4 turbos, grant you that hadnt been done up until it was releashed. But there are still faster cars out there. The SSC Ultimate Aero and Koenigsegg CCXR are faster without all the big funding and tech. So again what exactly makes the bugatti "special" Im pretty sure if one of the big 3 had it in there agenda to do something like that they could. The Dagger might not ever make it to production but that doesnt mean an American car company cant make something of that caliber, which is what Giannis was trying to state.
