    Default Valentine One VS Redline

I just found out that I am going to the BullRun, and I need to know immediately which one is better, the V1 or the Escort Redline?

I have yet to seen a review. I'd stick with V1 given that it's upgradeable.

The only downside to V1 is the false alarms. I had one for a day and got really tired of the constant beeping. I have a Escort 9500ix due to arrive tomorrow. I am hoping that the GPS inside will remove a lot of false alarms. If you are doing all highways, V1 is the way to go. It's cheaper too. You can get a refurb one from V1 for around 300. Just sent them an email requesting for a refurb. There are plenty on ebay too.

I have a V1 with the current update - saves me everytime. Given, you might get a miss, but I rather be safe than sorry.

V1 FTMFW. I absolutely love mine and wouldn't trade for anything.

I'm sure if you do a search for the 'V1' or 'radar detector,' I'm sure you'll find more than enough threads to show you that V1 > All.

V1 all the way. One of the best purchases I have made.

Forget the V1. I have both the V1 and Passport 9500ix mounted and the Passport has never failed me. Granted, the V1 may pick up the signal a hair earlier than the 9500ix, but there are so many false alarms that you learn to completely ignore it. I keep the V1 muted and use it exclusively for it's directional arrows, and rely on the Passport 9500ix for alerting me of an upcoming threat.

As for the Escort Redline: I've never had any personal experience with it, but if the false alarm performance is anything like the Passport 9500ix, then it would be boat loads better than the V1. If you learn to subconsciously ignore the beeping due to the constant barrage of false alarms, what's the point of having a radar detector? JMHO.
