Was actually just about to post this, haha.
I'd get the GT3 personally - I'll wait for the 'Scuderia' version of the 458.

"the ferrari is like an arcade game...the porsche is a more honest [car]"
GT3RS FTW! true driver's car vs. Ferrari's computers driving fast for you... "the Porsche is rewarding...Ferrari does it for me..."
conclusion: definitely two different leagues, but for those who want to drive, for those who love cars: its the GT3RS all day long!"It is better to be good than to be original. Less is more." --Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

GT3RS + Sharkwerks Bypass = damn-near the most fun you can have without a woman.

Im going with the Ferrari. The sound, the looks...just the whole car leaves me in awe. Cant wait for the hardcore (honest as Chris puts it)version.

I love the looks, the sounds, and everything there is about the 458 Italia. Sure it may not be as "rewarding" to drive at the track but it works much better as an every day car. For me, it's the 458 ATW!

Reminds me of this.
I've driven both 458 and GT3 RS now. None of them on the Nordschleife yet- which is crucial for me. What ever car convinces me there is as good as bought.
As for now its the Porsche.| Some say_ that he's working on his 3rd million since the first 2 didn't work out.

I'm all for 6MT over paddles and the rewarding feel you get from working the manual gearbox and clutch pedal, but at the end of the day if I'm in a showroom staring at these two cars and had to pick one, I would take home the Ferrari.

I believe the Porsche is at it's prime, however the 458 is still in it's most "basic" shape if you get what I'm saying. Hopefully a 'light-weight,' sportier, version comes out within a few years, however for now, the 458 is the everyday car.
