Default I think its time to get a truck...

So I made the thread about the h3, and I doubt I am going that way. I like them but I just am not convinced yet.
I am tired of having my dog in the back of the car, it would be nice to just let him have the back of the truck. With buying the house I am needing a truck for dump runs and etc... So the car is just not cutting it.

I would love a full size diesel, but really thats over kill. Also I want some sort of good mileage. I dont drive a ton for work anymore but we do take the random 300 mile road trip and etc... so I would like to get something that gets better mpg then the escalade.

Titan was on the top of the list... dont think I need a truck that big.

Nissan Frontier? have heard good things about them, not as "nice" on the inside. But, seems like a solid ride, and the price is a lot better then any tacomas and etc...

    TIA...

    Justin

ps. we should have a truck forum.

Funny you suggested the Frontier. I have had 2 of them. Currently driving a 2009 Pro 4X. Short Box Crew Cab. I had an LE in 2005 and then got into an 06 X-Terra Offroad.

I too wanted a Titan, although the same thing arose for me. Too much truck for what I do.

I love these trucks and would recommend them to anyone! It helps that that dealership I deal with is nothing short of Awesome!

I have a Chevy Colorado crew cab. I'm pretty sure it's what the H3 is based off of. It's been a good truck so far. I've gone over 50k miles without a problem.

The only thing that would get me out of my Rover is a 3/4 ton diesel, 4x4, 4door, short bed.
I have been thinking of doing just that, it really sucks to have deer blood in the back seat.....I maybe in need of a truck before next hunting season......

PS: I have been off-road with people in H3s, if you plan on off-road trips, don't waste your money..!!!!

I'm in the market for a truck myself. I'm considering the frontier and tacoma, but I'm afraid their 6 cylinder engines won't have the power to tow a track car or my airboat. I'm also looking at going the SUV route with a used Z71 tahoe.

What are your thoughts on the frontier? I don't really need anything that's too nice on the inside, but I'd prefer four full size doors.

Oh and I'm also getting pretty tired of my yellow lab shedding all over the black interior in my M3.

Clubfrontier.org has a pile of great guys with tonnes of info! I don't tow or pull anything, so I can't help you there. I do feel however, that these are great trucks. I am 33 but look 23 and when I went to purchase a Tacoma, nobody would even say hi to me. I stood beside the Tacoma in the showroom for 30 mins without even a hello. So off I went to Nissan to see the Frontier. I bought the Frontier the next day.

The Tacoma does not have a sunroof, where the Frontier does have the option on specific models. The Rockford Fosgate Stereo that cam e with my truck is pretty damn good for a Factory set up. With the stock spray in bed liner you can beat the snot out of the interior of the box and have little to nothing to worry about. Then there is the intelli-trac tie down system in the bed. VERY handy for moving different things.

H3's are crap. My mom has one for about 6 months and she couldn't stand it at all. No power whats so ever. She ended up getting a Lincoln Mark LT
