Dick DeLunas Garage aka "Toy Box"
Over the weekend, the BACC (Bay Area Cobra Club) decended upon the tiny town of Woodside for our End of the Summer run. The highlight of the meet was at Dick DeLunas "toy box". Locals familiar with Dick knows whats inside the box, but for those that don't, here's a taste of some of the goodies. All I can say is, I'd be happy with just 1% of what he has here... and I didn't take that many pictures! Enjoy:
took a while to park 31 cobras!!!

The man in the White pullover is Dick DeLuna

The Green Jag and the red Nardi are both actual race cars of the era and street legal.
Dick has taken the Nardi to run the Mille Miglia in Europe, in SNOW/HAIL.
Dick is a true believer of driving what he owns and he drives EVERY car you see pictures; he indicated he averages about 12 tours a year; his favorite is in Montana where apparently, there are miles of freeway that you can go flat out without any worries of the Highway Patrol.
Mrs. DeLuna is no slouch either; her daily driver is a new Jaguar XF-S twin turbo! I spied it in part of the garage but couldn't get in to take a good picture but it is there.
Dick has some great stories; one of the funny one was a set of cylinder heads that were custom made for one of his antiques (don't reacall if it was the Nardi or the XJ) but back then you could customzie it with your name. He decided to put "Dick" on the cylinder heads. Some years later someone came to look at the car, and asked: "what are dick heads?" He replied: "that's me - those are my dick heads."
If you belong to clubs like the Viper Club, Shelby Club or just about any club really, you can get sign up for a tour as well. He is a class act and one of the most gracious gearheads you'll ever get to meet.
