    Default help/opinions on selling a DeTomaso Pantera

    Evening Gents

    Bossman has an imported 1974 DeTomaso Pantera GT-S (metal flares) with a few Hall Pantera upgrades sitting in the garage collecting dust. Motor had lots of work but ultimately failed on him 2 years ago.

    He has finally decided that it's the time to sell. I've convinced him to put a new motor on a credit card.
    Parts limit is $5K. Not a lot.

    Help me get him the most out of this situation.

    Also try some Pantera fans sites, the car not the band... lol

    Rever and L1Vis are the local Pantera experts

    If you are looking for a basic engine rebuild for that 351C you should be able to get it done for around 5K if you guys pull the engine and take it to a reputable rebuilder but if something major let loose in the engine you might be looking at 5k in parts.

    What part of the country is the car in? I might be able to help with references for shops in your area.
