I knew the flip-side. The car I wanted at the time is actually sitting in the driveway next to my Mustang - a '66 Big Block (427) Corvette Roadster. My Dad always felt the old Stingrays were "rattle traps" and he was a "Ford Man". I bought the 'vette in 1996 and sold it in 2004.

1969 Fiat 850 Spider. (This one is actually a later year)(same color as mine, though)

It would overheat and blow the head gasket every 2-3 months. It got to the point where I could pull the head, ride my bike down to the machine shop to get it surfaced and pick up a gasket, ride back (stopping at Cecil's for a choco malt) and install the head and new gasket in an hour and a half.

I had a 2000 Honda S2000. It was the hot shit at my highschool . Updated it with ap2 front and rear bumpers, plus a few other little things.

First car - a 1979 Chevy Chevette 2-door... it was the hottest thing in school, not because it was a great car, but because I didn't have a license yet... or a school parking sticker. So the Drivers Ed. teacher has a fit about it being on school grounds.

I'm proud to say my first car was a white ford panel van that my dad got for free from his job. It had a burnt valve i was 15 and already working as a mechanic almost full time. So after spending my own money to fix the truck even went all out and rebuilt the carb while i had it apart. My dad took it back when i turned 18 and sold it.
