    Before people start coming with their pitchforks, let it be known that 89k is not at the actual build price for the car, maybe for A car but not in general. You could build one for under 50k.

    Ahh, so if the question is simply whether I would buy/build one (rather than the one in the ad), certainly I would.

    You're right on the actual cost to own/build one of these things...just like an old project car (like mine) the parts (and kit) don't actually cost that much; it's the labor. Unfortunately my El Camino build cost was 50% more because I didn't want to do the work myself. (Engine swap, MT conversion, rear end swap) Would you let a lawyer do that sh!t to YOUR car? yeah right!
