Thread: I got an email from my friends at Autogespot today - Get ready to drool - Gumball 3000

I received an email today from my friend Ruud at Autogespot about their debut at Gumball 3000 this year and the special car and wrap they have prepared for this great event. Here is a few pics and some info on what they have cooked up for us. We are looking forward to seeing them at the start line. They have promised to bring us daily updates on their adventures.














Team Autogespot presents Gumball 3000 car at Circuit Park Zandvoort

Last Sunday March 11, Team Autogespot was present on Circuit Park Zandvoort for the presentation of the car for the Gumball 3000 later this year. A large group was present when the Ferrari 599 GTO was unveiled.

Team Autogespot will makes its debut in the prestigious Gumball 3000 rally with a Ferrari 599 GTO. Despite that several supercars will participate, the car of Team Autogespot will attract a lot of attention because of the unique car wrap. Beside this, the Ferrari will not be inferior for its competitors because of the 670 bhp under the bonnet.



After several weeks of preparations, Team Autogespot unveiled the Ferrari on March 11 at 1:00 pm at Circuit Park Zandvoort. Most people had already seen a small preview of the car via social media, but the whole car and wrap was kept a secret until last Sunday. After a loud applause, everyone was wildly enthusiastic about the wrap. The unique wrap consists of pictures of spots that were elected as Spot of the Day in the past years. Visitors of the website sended in their photos with their names so they could be a part of the wrap. This way, the spotters are participating with the Gumball 3000 because they have sent in their photos.



Not only the Ferrari 599 GTO will be at the starting line in New York in this wrap, there will also be a support team with two promotion girls and a camera crew in a Cadillac Escalade ESV in the same wrap. Sunday March 11 was also the day the promotion girls were elected. The girls we have chosen are XX and XX. They will take care of the publicity of Autogespot in America.

Great team, very cool guys. I've allready seen their GTO in person and I can say that you can stay all the day infront of the car just to admire its curves and all the pics on it!

Yeah it's cool that those guys attend the Gumball! And the wrap is just great, very cool and creative initiative. Haven't seen thieir GTO in person but my Dodge pic is on there somewhere aswell!

Damn that is such a unique idea!!! awesome!

As a creative Director that is heavily in to production techniques would love to know how they went about producing that image.

They have taken most of the pics from the section " Spot of the day " that usually includes the best cars spotted of the day between all their daily uploaded pics from the spotters. Then if i'm not mistaken, they have used a software to mix them all in a unique image and then they have produced the wrap. Definitely one of the most original (and good looking) wrap I have ever seen.
