Not so much 'spotted', but I know these will be appreciated here, a private garage in Melbourne.

    F40, 355, 308 and 512BB.

Q plates are the original Queensland number plates. Q1 i.e 1st QLD plate ever made. So essentially is this is the 2009th plate made in Queensland.

The owner of the plate Q1 was offered a cool million dollars for it a few years ago and turned down that offer. The lower the number the higher the value. Single digit Q plates sell at some crazy prices.

    Negative about the Victorian part.

All states have heritage plates, QLD are the only different ones. Those Q plates are not to be confused with the recently released DOT Q plates.

In regards to the prices, the NSW and VIC market are even stronger and demand insane prices, then QLD, then SA. Most recent sales I can think off the top of my head was Q23 for $220k, and SA17 for $206k, to put it into perspective.

The SA system is a bit weird though, because some of those plates have 'expired' (to put it easily) and cannot be used anymore.

FWIW, nearly all single digits will never be sold, but passed on through generations, 1 family in Vic have got 3 single digit plates, but there is one owner in Sydney that offered enough and was able to purchase 2 different single digit plates.

    To clarify:
