Quick question to any of the Queensland people on here. Anyone know what single letter QLD number plates have sold for in the past?

Got an email back from the seller of the single digit plate I wanted.... offers over 100K. Not going to happen buddy

HA! The owner will never get anywhere near that, to put it into perspective you could of recently bought Q23 for around the same figure.

What was the letter?

No idea. Is the ppq auction on tonight. I read in a newspaper that they are expecting up to $500k for the plate Q8.

Yep there was a plate auction. Mostly 8 based plates.

I think the number 8 is lucky for the Chinese? Not sure.

Any plate with 8, either by itself or reoccuring is going to go for a premium.

In the recent QLD PPQ auctions, Q8, Q888 and Q88888 were available for sale.



Q8 was passed in at $300,000 (talks are continuing with the main bidders I am told)
Q888 was SOLD for $95,000
Q88888 was passed in at $20,000.

These of course were the standouts of the auction, and all the other 3+ digit plates in the auction went for $11,000 and under.

Q88 was sold last September for an confidential price.



Q9 was just listed for sale privately on Saturday, with offers around $250,000 or so apparently.



It is not often at all that single digit plates come onto the market, so to have 2 for sale at the same time is truely amazing. It just goes to show how tough times are for some people.

Any links to all the plates at the auction sold? Interested to see how the pricing is compared to previous years on similar plates.

Just a reminder to all to check for wear on your trailers. This happened beside me today on my way home from work. Cop car was right beside him. Very lucky noone got hurt.

Has anyone seen yet that there is a a Z8 for sale in Aus at the moment? Asking $359,990 which is rich compared to the US, however would be a nice addition to a collection: A Z8 in Australia and it

Last I checked between 100-200k depending on the condition.
But plenty can be had for around 115
