I hate the R8 Spyder. Yes, even the GT. Am I alone?
Now before those of you who clicked on this post enraged take out your anger on me, hear me out. I love cars. I love just about every car except the Pontiac Aztec, any Hummer after the H1 and the Ford Pinto. I understand different cars have different purposes, and with those purposes come different audiences, but I seriously can not make myself like this car.
Why? I'm not saying the R8 shouldn't have a Spyder model, I'm just saying it could have been done better. That's just my opinion.
It's mostly an appearance issue for me, but there's a couple of other nit-picky things about this car I just can't stand.
I took a break from praising cars on the blog to take a stab at ripping one apart:
I still like Audi.

It's not that I dislike the spyder version, I just like the side panel of the coupe too much to ever consider the convertible.

I don't like that rear cover either....and the missing side blades are definitely a take away from the original design of a the R8

Are you joking OP? First off, most of your post is about disliking the looks of the car which is your opinion - each to their own. Then you go on criticizing the transmission saying that you've heard from 'sources' that it is 'clunky'?? Audi is known to make some of the world's best transmissions and seeing as you haven't driven one you shouldn't be giving an opinion.
P.S. I agree with Mini George, lol.
