And to be clear - The S4 was a fine car, just not for me.

Wow. I'm sorry to have read that :/

I've been hearing lately from people to stay away from Stasis parts (I'm assuming both the wheels and exhaust were Stasis, correct)?

Hope you enjoy your GT-R though when you get it... That thing will be an animal!

Yes the parts were all Stasis. But the blurb you get when you purchase the car is "Well we are a stasis dealer so you'll get serviced and covered for both in the same place, no hassle." Fvckin car salesmen.

And thank you, I hope the very same for the GT-R!

I was just going to mention this about Stasis but end up talking out of my ass - manly passing on hearsay "information" - again from what I've read on various forums of disgruntled Stasis customers.

Something along the lines of "Stasis is the official in-house Audi mod shop to sell you product endorsed but not covered by Audi warranty which if something fvcks up, you've basically lost your warranty because of mods - oh the Stasis warranty will help you. What? You didn't get warranty from Stasis? Too bad son."

Anyways as said before, somehow someway the GT-R has shot right up to my dream car bucket list, mainly because I can actually afford the damn thing in this life - $110k Canadian.

We only get the black edition - for better or worse up here.

But seriously, I personally like the Audi R8 coupe, Spyder and GT. Personal Preference is all.

    To each their own.

A little Off topic, with regards to the Nissan GT-R, be sure you do research on "where" you can get it serviced and transmission issues. It's all hearsay for me but it's what I have heard so like the S4, do your homework - eyes wide open. Here's a vid I just found on a simple Google search (kinda of humorous):

Lemon Law Won! Nissan GT-R 2010 Transmission Problems - YouTube

BTW: R8 Spyder... not hot to get one but then again, I already have a convertible... ok, roadster. Rather get the coupe of the V8 for myself.

*EDIT* : hehe, just realized maybe you meant the R8 GT-R !!!!!

interesting. i have to agree, i love the r8 coupe but dislike the spyder...i actually dislike most soft top convertibles. but yes, the r8 spyder is not pretty. also agree about some (all the ones i've come across) r8 drivers...in LA there are lots of really young r8 drivers (priced at 125-130k that's 'LA Affordable' seeing as how a nicely optioned AMG, Rover, etc. can be around that and there are tons everywhere you go here), which probably lends to the stereotype that r8 drivers have...obviously there are exceptions but you tend to note/remember the bad ones more often than the good ones...

    on another note:

Audi is known to make some of the world's best transmissions and seeing as you haven't driven one you shouldn't be giving an opinion.

P.S. I agree with Mini George, lol.

As a guy living in a city with some of the worst roads, i have to agree with this completely.

i just have to ask if you've daily driven an R8 (BG)...because if you haven't then according to you, you shouldn't be giving an opinion either...no offense to anyone, just kind of irked that everyone jumped on the OP about his blog....we link to GTSpirit.com, Jalopnik.com, etc...giving them views and they aren't forum sponsors....a link to a blog that is automotive related does not warrant that kind of bashing imo.

    sorry to go OT...
