Why not go with something in the RS line, or S line of audi?

Not the same :-) I have had some S cars before, and while I love(ed) them, wanted to still check some goal cars off the list I guess :-)

LOL - agreed. I on the other hand actually lived in central Africa for about 8 months and spent much of that time in the carpentry shop with Habitat for Humanity and helped build some houses for folks that needed them badly. Now I am back here, and work my ass off and like fancy cars that go stupid fast...just doesn't seem like I am all that pure evil (well...not in the way that they insinuate anyway :-))

Hah! Legit Grendel :-) I actually just bought an 03 GT2 that was basically new still. It is both fun and seems to kinda blend in (ahhh, Porsche is nice like that) and it's frighteningly fast (at least right now...I assume I'll get used to it a bit...and then it will prolly live up to the widow-maker moniker :-)). I think this one will subside my addiction for the time being...and be a nice whip for GR4 even :-)

Did you buy the one at Rocky Mountain Eurosport? That's a nice car. I just sold my 04 GT2 I took on gR3 a few months ago a picked up a 997 Turbo. I definitely miss the GT2, but needed back seats for a "family car". Now I'm looking for a 997 GT2 or a 993 tt. Congrats.
Still trying to catch up on sleep from gR3

Yeah, that's the one. Thanks dude. I think that makes 4 I have bought from Leon down there. He gave me the deal I was after and once I drove that thing, it was all over. My only backseat need is for the bulldogs, so I am gonna get some kinda "seat" thing made for the spots back there that Diesel and Butters can sit in and I should be all set.

gR3 was the wife and my first. We're planning on doing gR4. Are you going? We should put together a CO crew.

Yeah I'll be on at least part of 4, if not the whole trip. Missed 3 cause of work crap, but that won't happen this year. I think there was a guy in a F car (thought from Ft Collins too...maybe Denver) that was on 2kX...we should have a CO crew there in force

    I completely understand.
I'm not a celebrity but I soerta know what it feels like to be one. I have been a social worker for over 25 years. A good one at that. Which means people remember me and recognize me around town. My wife and I have been interrupted at dinner by ex clients. When I shop I usually come across someone who knows me. They want to tell me how they are doing usually.

As for cars, I drive a modded Lexus GS. It gets a fair amount of attention. Last week, wifey and I were coming out of a restaurant and some guys were taking pics of my car. Usually, people say something like "nice car". These guys just stood there taking pics and walked away.
I have seen people taking pics while driving. I even caught a lady spitting on my car.

I decided a long time ago that unwanted attention comes along with having a nice car. I accept it. I'd rather the car get attention than my ex clients bothering my wife. It's okay for them to approach me when I am alone. That's part of the profession. But don't interrupt when I'm out with wifey.

My advise...life is short. Buy the car you want and don't let it bother you when people notice your nice car. It's a blessing.
