    Default New Audi A9 Entering Four-Door Luxury Saloon Market



    Audi is planning a luxuriously equipped coupé-like saloon called the A9. The new vehicle would enter the same market space as the Porsche Panamera, Mercedes-Benz CL and the upcoming BMW GranCoupé concept.

    An Audi insider revealed to AutoCar that the project isn’t officially confirmed for production, but work is progressing on the business case. The lightweight structure and the air-sprung chassis it supports are based on those already used by high-end A8.

    uhh isn't this what the A7 does.
    and how are they comparing the Panamera with the MB CL class?

    ditto! There is also talks that estoque will share platform with this A9. I don't see the market for 2 full size GT coupes in Audi lineup (A7 and A9). Audi needs to learn marketing strategy from Porsche.

    All the CL's are coupes? Do they mean S class? If so isn't that what the A8 is for?

    Hm is the a real picture of a fake? Could be a A9 after the new A8. But last year A1 this year A9? So lot models.
