    Default S4 Drivers

I'm considering getting a used S4 and I was wondering what you guys thought of yours.

Looking at 05-06 between 40-65k miles. Any problems at that mileage?

Any problems with that model in general?

    Thanks guys.

Watch out for electrical problems... Older Audi's are notorious for it.

I've posted a link to an AZ thread that gets you started on what you need to know. I'm not sure if you are looking to get the B6 or B7 body style since it changed mid-05. In addition to the information mentioned in the link, other issues have been control arms depending on previous drivers and window actuators seem to go out rather often. I currently have a B6 S4 and as you will shortly realize, the B6 and B7 s4's are almost identical so if you have any questions feel free to ask!

The wiring issues are present (sometimes). I have a 2003 A4 1.8TQM, never had any electrical issues i'm at 105k. My dad has an A4 2005 and was having issues with it this week. However, I believe some wires got cut/severed which caused it.

All Audis have their own little bugs, but nothing too bad. The eletrical problems are mainly false, but just like any car, there is a chance of having an issue. I say go for it. They're great cars, good to over 200k miles, and comfortable as hell and fun to drive.

IMO this statement is very false. Every 02-05 audi a4/s4 we have gotten in to my office with CVT transmission has been absolute sh*t. they always have problems especially at high miles stay away from CVT!
