Thread: RS6 gets another +299 FT-LBS of torque with only a chip!

Just in case anyone was wondering, the RS6 trapped 118 mph.

Would be nice to see what some weight reduction, exhaust modification, and a manual transmission could do.

I believe most companies detune their cars for many reasons.

1. Meet emission requirements.
2. Higher MPG.
3. Less stress on the engine. Less stress = longer lasting engine.

With the extra 299 ft-lb of torque 1, 2, and 3 are all out the window. But who gives a crap
