400WHP MK1 TT Daily Driver?
Hello all,
Long time lurker - was refereed by Tamaneri - here to ask a question.
I'm considering about buying a 2001 Audi TTQ coupe with these modifications:
Pro Built motor
Pauter rods
Factory fresh 9.3:1 forged pistons
AEB heads with full port & polish OS Supertech valves, springs, retainers
APR Stg3+ kit
GT3076-11 T25 Turbo
APR motorsports Intake manifold /70mm RS4 Throttle Body
APR Z flow FMIC
APR 3" turbo back exhaust with muffler and no muffler rear sections
Unitronics 830cc software & wideband ecu conversion
HPA blue Haldex controler
Southbend Stg4 clutch
Quaife ATB diff (front)
Peloquin ATB diff (back)
R32 front brake conversion
Defcon suspension bushings
Bilstien Sport dampers
Eibach Sport springs
Nuespeed 25mm Rear swaybar
The car has 40k on it, and everything seems to be done correctly and professionally
Now heres the question...
Would you daily drive this car? Or is that asking for problems?
APR says the stage III+ kit is reliable for daily driving, but realistically they're trying to sell the thing... and this car has a few more modifications.
So what do you think?
Thanks for the replies

I have a stage 3 Audi s4. Stage 3 cars can be as (almost) as reliable as stock cars depending on who modified them. The only difference is that there will be more tinkering with little things. And this can add up. It will be more expensive to repair and some mechanics wont be able to work on a modified car of this level. I would recommend having a second car however because there are always little things to fix with these cars.
If speed is what you want then you can't beat it. Depends on what you want.2001.5 Stage 3+ Audi S4, Borg Warner KKKO4’s, AWE Tuning Stage III Fueling, AWE Downpipes, high-flow cats and test pipes, AWE Intercoolers W/Shrouds, UUC VM3 Cat-Back, Evolution Motorsports Diverter Valves, H&R coilovers, 1.8 degrees negative camber front 1.0 negative rear. Thats the short list.
New additions, H-sport swaybars +60% stiffer front, +170% stiffer rear, H-sport subframe reinforcement
1995 SCCA B-Stock corvette, Mild suspension tweaks

It depends on your commute and the clutch, in my opinion. Is that Southbend Stage 4 full-faced or segmented? If it's a puck-type clutch, that will get tiresome real quick in any kind of traffic. On-off switch clutches are great for holding power, not so much for stop-and-go on the highway.
Power-wise, you should be just fine. Seems like you are making enough torque so that you don't have to wind the engine up to high rpm to get moving. The 3076 is big enough that you can keep out of boost if you want to while just driving around town. Suspension doesn't seem too spine-rattling.
Boost Is Better

What type of "little things to fix" have you encountered? I'd like to get an old tacoma or something down the road a bit... but for a while it would be my only car. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, and not intimidated... but definitely have my limits.
Thanks for the replies and welcomes everyone.
He's on a few forums and I've checked the build out - it all seems legit.. only 6k on the new motor and stage III+ build! He has a R32 and he's selling it for a new Porsche.
