Speechless, but then not shocked, stories like these are the norm down here in Newport. Amazing is not the word to describe it anymore, especially when you see a 16-18 year old get behind the wheel of an exotic or high end car that moomy and daddy bought. I've seen Bentleys, Lambos, Ferraris driven by these youngsters and you start to think to yourself, if these parents were smart in making money, aren't they smart enough in protecting there families?

You know good and well as soon as his parents let him take the car out on his own, he is gonna call his friends and go wild because mommy and daddy bought him a expensive car. He's going to feel the urge to "test it out". We've all been there. I'd be willing to bet he gets a ticket within the first few weeks. I hope a ticket anyway. I really don't want to hear about the kid getting hurt or hurting a innocent person on the Internet/News because of his AND his parents lack of common sense.

A salesman at Porsche-Audi Nashua was telling my dad and I a similar story a few years ago. Apparently a guy bought his 16 year old grandson the new (at the time) R8 v8. Hopefully his good taste in cars will also lead to him going to a track to really test it out, but i guess that seems somewhat doubtful.
