    It is possible because they made the new A8 wayyyy lighter. They weigh almost as much as the S4, (kind of embarassing) at 4,045 lbs because the chassis is made out of aluminum and magnesium.

    That's not everyone, that's just BMW. BMW is really trying to push the fact they have efficient, good for the environment vehicles and that is, unfortunately, being implemented in their M division as well.

    i don't think it's just bmw, most manufacturers are cutting weight. i'm pretty sure the next s5 will have a supercharged v6 instead of the current v8
