Air ride??? yeah why not!!!
So i bit the bullet and over the past month or so, i've been putting together, but air ride setup for my 06 b7 a4.
so far i've just been prepping all the components, and over several weekends i plan on installing all the goodies in the trunk, and running al the electrical and lines.
Components
Bagyard Front Strut Assembly (uses bilstein struts - UVA bags - Custom CNC'ed billet aluminum mounts)
Bagyard Rear Strut Assembly (uses bilstein struts - UVA bags - Custom CNC'ed billet aluminum mounts)
Air Ride Technology RidePro e2 Electronic Management
Air Ride Technology Big Red Solenoid Valve Block
2x 3-gallon Universal Air Aluminum Tanks
2x Viair 480C Chrome Compressors.
3/8" lines for the front bags
1/4" lines for the rear bags
all DOT fittings
2x SMC Water traps.

The 1-2-3 Remotes allow me to adjust ride height outside of the car, with the ignition off.
My car....Bentley's are gone
These wheels are temp until i decide what i want next....possibly some carlines.

pressure sensors on the back of the manifold, you can see the adjustable flow controls on the exhaust ports.

the fittings to supply the bags. I plan on running smc's flow controls, just waiting for them to be in stock.

general layout, but some items will be elevated and things will be pushed to closer together.

going to feed the manifold from the tank with 1/2" lines. drain cocks on the bottom of both tanks. SMC water traps with 90 deg fittings on one end to allow me to run the comps parallel to the tanks. Doesn't put so much stress on the leader lines.

I was able to solve the issue of trying to run 3/8" lines to the front bags. The port on the bag was 1/8" fnpt. Couldn't find any 1/8"mnpt - 3/8" line fittings. Found some leader lines that had 1/8" mnpt to 1/4" fnpt so i could add a 1/4" npt - 3/8" line straight fitting.

Fittings added to the rear bags.

kit looks pretty reliable, quality parts all around... Airride tech/Viair is pretty bullet proof... Probably could do without one of the tanks unless you plan on playing with it a lot... Only thing i would recommend is getting rid of all the plastic airline running from the solenoid block to the bags with some stainless steel braided lines...a little pricey but well worth it.....Good luck with the install....
As far as the performance aspect, it is a little overrated... I have driven/installed bags on DOZENS of cars/trucks over the last decade... From Mazdas to Mercedes... There are plenty of ways to make it perform and still have the adjustibility... I have a mini truck, 22's, Bags, Big brakes, Supercharged and have no problem hitting the corners hard or breaking it lose when i need to....

The approximate cost...is prob around 4k for this particular setup.
the most expensive part is the struts and the electronic management.
as far as performance, will these handle as well as my bilstein pss9 coils...prob not. but it will handle far better and ride better than stock and perform on par with your average cup kit or low end coil setup. You'd be surprised how many muscle cars are tracked with air ride systems. its a misconception that air ride handles poorly. Couldn't be farther from the truth. These are not the type of air systems found on Explorers, Caddy's, etc.
I got bored of the bentleys, and in the "scene" they are getting pretty played out, need something fresh.
and anderskt....DO ITTTT....next time i see you...lets discuss....hahahah2006 Audi A4, with a load of crap....
