Thread: Came to join the party - TAG Motorsports Project RS5

Some of you may know us and we may be new to some of you... but we LOVE our in-house project vehicles. In 2011, TAG Motorsports purchased two 2011 B8 S4's to have on site as demonstrator vehicles for all our customers to touch, feel, see, drive... They quickly became known as the TAG Twins, each sporting HRE's, H&R Suspension Components, AWE Power goodies and of-corse GIAC Software. The cars quickly gained popularity and were well known. Once the 2013 models were debut, we decided it was time for a re-fresh... We contacted our contacts at Audi NA as well as our good friends at Audi of San Diego, and recieved two brand new 2013's weeks before they were available to the public. The vehicles were built and available for demo immediatly. Some people loved them, some people hated them, but there was no denying that the twins caught your attention



Fast forward to August 28th 2012, We got a call from Audi of San Diego that there was a new surprise for and to go to the PDI center later that day while we were delivering one of our Black-Out Packaged new A6's..... And there it was - A Sepang Blue Titanium Packaged RS5. It didn't take long until we were all wrapped up and had the newest member of the TAG family sitting in our shop....

The car was delivered last Thursday, and we instantly fell in love. The high-revving V8 is a completely different animal than the S4's 3.0L Supercharged V6. The power delivery is just astonishing as the car keeps pulling and pulling all the way up to the 8500RPM Redline. Even when your in 5-6-7th gears, the car keeps pulling as it does 0-60... And giving you the biggest smile on your face, as well as a slight chill down your spine once you hit the little paddle on the left, notifying the dual clutch gearbox to rev-match and select the lower gear...



As the weeks go on, more and more parts will begin trickling in for our beast. First up is going to be a set of KW V3 Coil-overs with some SPC Upper Control Arms to hunker down the RS and make sure it stays planted as well as some E-Codes to get rid of our ugly NA-Spec Amber Headlights. We are also working with our good friends at GIAC & AWE for some power goodies, as well as some new rollers (which we will keep a secret for a few more weeks )

We have built a few RS5's with many different goodies like the Capristo Exhaust, KW Adjustable Springs, HRE's, ADV.1's, etc etc etc - but now having our own in-house RS5, we will be able to help you all out to the best of our abilities as we have real-world experience with the RS badged coupe.
