Not really any noticeable gains in power, nice sound though. PES superchargers suck for s4's, check out JHMotorsports' supercharger. They use a centrifugal blower instead of the root style ones PES uses. JHM doesn't list it on their website, but if you want I can get you into contact with one of their parts distributors and you can speak with them directly. Guy I met nearby me has this done and is making ~500 HP.

Yea the B7 is not going to put out tons of power but JHM is def the way to go if you want anything performance. I currently have a B7 S4 avant I'm selling and hate to see it go. The power, sound and torque are intoxicating. In comparison to the boxter, I raced an 08-09 boxter s about a month ago, from a dig, when I hit aprox 110 I was about 5 car lengths ahead of him. My car is running, JHM piggie pipes, 2.5 inch oettinger exhaust with x pipe, light weight rotors and JHM tune. Cars with similar bolt ons are putting down around 300 AWHP. Good luck with the search

B7 are nice sounding. B8 is a better overall car which is why I bought mine. With exhaust my B8 sounds like a Ferrari tone V6. Its faster than the B7 and interior is leaps and bounds better. But its all in what you can afford and what makes you happy.

Go for the B8
these guys aint lying its alike a different car
i think i would rather have a nicely loaded B8 A4 with a turbo upgrade than a B6/B7 S4

If your budget doesn't allow for a B8, the B7 is certainly the next best alternative. But I believe some of the B8 guys are hitting ~375hp with just a tune, and ~400 with an upgraded pulley. Not sure if you're looking for a 6 speed or auto, but the B8s also have the new S-Tronic/DSG (dual clutch) transmission which is awesome.

B8's cost too much for my situation. I typically own cars one or two years max. Looking to keep this purchase <$35k.

If you can turn it into a sedan, you got a deal.
Where are you located?
