Thread: Audi Confirms 50 R8 Exclusive Models for US

Audi is releasing 50 “Exclusive Selection Edition” R8 models to the U.S. market, 20 of which will be V8s while the remaining 30 will be available with the 5.2-liter, 525-hp V10.

For the Audi R8 V8 Exclusive Selection Edition, the German automaker has applied a new Daytona Gray exterior paint, outfitted it with 19-inch, five-spoke wheels, a carbon fiber splitter and diffuser, and red brake calipers. Other mild aesthetic changes include a black grille surround, black exhaust finishers, and taillights from the R8 GT model. The R8 model is powered by a 4.2-liter FSI V8 with 430-hp and 316 lb-ft of torque.

As for the R8 V10 Exclusive Selection Edition, it comes in a fabulous Ibis white exterior with Brilliant Black accents. The car gets 19-inch bi-color e-tron wheels while Alabaster White contrast stitching and carbon fiber accents fill the cabin.

Both models are available with a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic R tronic transmission. Pricing for the R8 V8 manual starts at $137,700 while the R tronic-equipped model will run you $146,800. R8 V10 Exclusive Selection Edition is priced from $161,500 while the R tronic model is $170,600.

Lol! It's been around for a while. My 2010 R8 is an Audi Exclusive car.

Syndrome? You make that sound like a bad thing... I think one of the greatest things about Porsche is the fact they have specialized and individualistic versions of their cars so you have differentiated and unique versions from the factory without the need to necessarily "hack" the factory car (and don't get me wrong, I practically mod EVERYTHING I own :-p)
