Default Aston Martin Virage Heading to Geneva Auto Salon 2011

Aston Martin is bringing back the Virage, a brand new model based on the DB9 and positioned between the DB9 and DBS within the British car maker range. The car maker from Gaydon revealed the Virage today ahead of its official debut during the Geneva Motor Show starting in less than a week.

The Virage name tag is known to all car purists because of its heritage. The first Virage was introduced at the Birmingham Motor Show in 1988 and the replacement for several V8 models.

So it's a face-lifted DB9 but it'll be placed between the DB9 and DBS? Why not just do the upgrades and make it the 2012 DB9 or something? I was expecting a whole new car.

Exactly my thoughts. Aston's cars are all too similar, both appearance and performance wise.

That registration plate used to be on a rapide, as well as the v12 vantage that was on top gear...confusing.

I can understand continuity in design. The V8 vantage looks like a smaller, more aggressive DB9. The Rapide looks like a 4-door DB9. But I think this was just kind of dumb on their part.
