Default Aston Martin from Goldfinger reportedly found in barn

Aston Martin from Goldfinger reportedly found in UK barn, set for auction.

    Autoblog

In 1964 a special effects designer used an Aston Martin DB4 as a practice prop for the real DB4 used in the movie Goldfinger. In 1974 he put it in a garage, where it sat until recently. Now it's being put up for sale at Aston Martin's annual factory auction, held at Newport Pagnell and run by Bonhams.

The pre-sale estimate for the red coupe is £50,000 ($74,640 U.S.). That number is boosted by what is seen to be a recent trend: investors placing their money in hard assets, as opposed to currency, until the markets regain some stability. Last year's take of £3 million ($4.36M U.S.) is expected to jump to around £5 ($7.27M million) for the 47 cars being offered this year, including a 1950 DB2 Team Car and a 1976 V8 Coupe.
