Super clean, to this day one of my all-time favorite cars. I was in love with the lines the first time I ever saw one. My buddy had a black R1 for a while and I remember being amazed at how much weight he saved with an aftermarket exhaust haha!

ye i was really surprised when i was replacing my exhaust system as well

the pre-cat weighed closed 25 lbs
and the main cat weighed in right around 35-40 lbs

i was actually able to sell the cats for about $100 each to a scrap company cus of the material inside
apparently the older cats had platinum in them so they have a really high resale value for scrap companies, at least thats what the guy told me
i was just happily surprised and walked away with an extra $200 lol

Haha that's awesome! I swear, the car handled noticeably better once we swapped out the exhaust, and call me crazy, but it ran cooler inside too!

Wow...Great work! The car is gonna be sick when done..Love the wheels

Im even more impressed your sticking with the Rotary..I restore Rx-7's and it's good to see another person out there that is sticking with them and took the time to understand them!

    Keep us updated with pic's.

    most definitely man
theres a wholeeee lot of misconseption about the rotary engine

many people don't really realize the amount of potential power and reliability in motorsport there is to this motor

back in the 80s when the first rx7s were racing in the 24 hour races...they would run the 24hr race and come to a nice "brapping" idle, meanwhile the piston engined cars would need a new engine per race

not to mention the legendary 787B!!

i love my 13b, and once you fall in love with the rotary...theres no going back lol
