got my Greddy Type R blow off valve today

    this thing is massive!

much bigger than my old Blitz unit...and it'll flow a lot more!

Any particular reason you chose the GReddy Typer-R over the TiAL Q 50mm? In all the collective projects I've owned or worked on, nothing seems to hold big boost as well!

awesome build man, maybe I missed it but the car was pretty reliable before the apex seal went out? I also happen to think the FD is one of the sexiest cars of the 90's, will be a classic one day.

hey guys...sorry its been a whileeee since i posted

i've finally got back into the build, had to take some time off to focus on school

worked on the car all day wednesday and got pretty far on it

finished all the oil lines (dual oil coolers, turbo feeds, and turbo drains)

finished all the fuel lines as well
made a little change that should make sure i don't fuel starve under boost
FDs from factory runs fuel as such: into the primary rail --> up to the secondary rail --> then to the fuel pressure regulator --> fuel return line to the tank

what i did was flip it
i ran a -8 AN line into the the secondary rail first, then a -8 AN line from the secondary rail to the primary...then a -6 AN line from the primary out to the FPR

the reason for doing this was because the largest fitting that i could fit onto the stock primary rail was a -6 AN line...to me thats too small of a line to flow a consistently high volume of fuel to push 2x 1680cc injectors and 2x 850cc injectors

this way, in theory, it'll keep enough fuel in the rails to make sure that when the car goes into boost and secondary injectors come on, theres no starvation to any of the 4 injectors

everything really fits up nicely now...but i broke one of the oil injector lines -__- fml!!

so now i'm waiting on a new one of those that i ordered from mazda, can't really do anything until then because they fit under the primary fuel rail

also since i can't do much, i got 2 waste gate bellow flexes from Vibrant, that i'll be installing in between the manifold and the waste gate to make sure that there some flex so the manifold doesnt crack on the track

Stitched Productions, one of the baddest car media companies in the game, is making a movie on the build for my car...so you guys will have a nice little video to watch of the build from start to finish
including the the car in the paint booth at Miami Autoworks (by far the best body shop in Miami)...the wheels being manufactured at the ISS Forged facility (their wheels are built fully in house so you'll see the wheels being cut on their CNC, their finishing process, all the fun stuff )

will have some pics up for you guys soon

thanks for all the complement also!!!

i'm taking my time on the build, its the only way to get it all right...measure 15 times, then cut!! lol

there really is only one reason why i went with the Greddy Type-R
i wanted to build this car the way that RE-Amemiya would have built it...so i wanted to really hold true to all JDM parts

they perform incredibly well though, the Type-R is engineered the same way the Tial is...extremely over engineered lol
the valve stem on the the thing like 20mm thick, its nuts lol

and the Tial is a 50mm, this one is a 47mm...so its not too much to trade off to keep all the parts on the car Greddy

so far, the turbos, the waste gates, the blow off valve, my compression elbow, my boost controller, etc.. are all Greddy so i figured might as well keep it that way lol

and i also opted for the stiff spring, so it comes with a 15 psi spring in it
