Zero luxury, lots of Play Impreza
Hi everyone!
First of all, excuse me if you will find my language/spelling etc incorrect: as a matter of fact I am Russian BUT I have lived in The Netherlands for almost 11 years.
Well, let's start with some "Hi Imma Newb!!
"
My name is Misha, just turned 22 last month and in my daily life I do too much things to get them done within 24 hours even if I'd have no sleep. I am a third year student of Business&Management at Tilburg University, but unfortunately things got out of hand last year and you can call me a second year student. Seems bad, but it gave me the opportunity to be able to start this topic in the end... (career >study). Furthermore, and more important: car enthusiast all the way. Started long time ago when I was 5 and was taken for a ride by my uncle in his -back then- brand new Audi S2. This passion has evolved and became a large part of my life. Nowadays, my life consists out of reading (and sometimes writing) everything which has to do with automotive news. Eventually I ended up here as well, after watching many GRR vids on YT/FB and I hope to be able to be somehow beneficial to the 4
. Finally I do not restrict my interests to cars only, I also have a dragrace moped (26 hp on 40 kg) (leftover from my childhood hobby) and I had a motorcycle last summer, but sold it because I was pissed by the Dutch weather... To conclude: if it has an engine, I may fall in love with it. That should do it for now, you can always ask me for some additional info, so lets get back to my project:
As a matter of fact, this is my first car. Bought it somewhere in July. And before I knew it, it turned into a serious project. Zero luxury, huge play! (Due to the limit on number of pictures, this thread will consist out of multiple first posts)
So, what do we have to deal with here?
A nice GC8 MY00, one of the finals as a matter of fact (production was closed 3 months after mine was produced). I bought it like this:

Some minor mods were installed on it:
Magnex full exhaust, EcuTek, Forge BOV and Koni shocks. Overall it gave something between 270 and 290 horses and some nice flames!
Subaru Impreza Backfire (The Saints Helmond) - YouTube
The car participated in 2011 ModBall rally from London to Geneva, that explains the stickers (&pics in London). Another explanation is that previous owner worked with me at the sticker company named StickerDUMP.com.
First day: off to carwash & removing fugly stickerbombing

And a few weeks later, after spending over 8 hours and destroying 4 fingernails I got all the stickers removed:

Then the sh*t started to get out of hand... Dreams started to knock on my door to become reality: the modding part began.
First some ICE:

Then, my brake pads needed a replacement and so I did:
K-Sport x8 330 front and x4 330 rear + Track Coilovers.

To improve my handling even further, I installed nearly every part from whiteline catalogue, but I dont have much pics of it

For the safety aspect I got myself a set of Cobra Suzuka Pro buckets & QSP belts:

Not so long after I bought the Impreza, I booked a racing driver course to get to know & to expand my and my car's limits. And since I started to understand that eventually I will end up racing with it I purchased some other nice upgrade:
Racing Technology Dash2 & Data logger

Another upgrade that adds 10 horsepower

Not really, but he warns me on time if cops start tailing me.

Well, 2 weeks before my racing lessons I had an accident on a roundabout that costed me some new whiteline goodies and a set of rims.
BBS replaced the Rota's

And then the fun part started, on 2nd of November I had my first day of racing driver lessons on the circuit of Assen TT:
(SpongeBob quitted his job after few months and got replaced by Eeyore)

and some local Dutch forum member came by:

Here you can see a short fragment of my "get out the way, Impreza coming through!!"-driving during the lessons (filmed from inside of other car, you can see me catch up during first meters):
I had to start in the back, but I soon I regained my leading position
On the last day I became overenthusiastic with powerslidings and I hit a tirewall, as a matter of fact, you still can see the tires on my door
.

I can go cry about it, but hey, I took the risk and now I have to take the responsibility. Furthermore, I saw a few people crash more badly into the wall, so this is not such a tragedy. To conclude, again: I can cry about it, but I prefer to laugh about is, so I placed some plasters on my baby (big thnx to stickerdump.com again), I hope she gets well soon!

This was not the only damage, since I was asked to push it to the limit, I pushed, pushed and squeezed out my third gear
Luckily, this happened after the exam, so I could obtain my racing licence! Luckily 2: I already had bought a 6 gear box with a twinplate exedy a few months ago, but I waited with installing it before I would start with a new engine.

- Cosworth H-11 tool steel, Ultra High Strength head stud kit (or (probably)14mm conversion kit)
- Cosworth gaskets
- Heads ported
- Gates Racing belt
- Baffled sump
- Oil cooler
- Perrin Rotated Kit with Garrett GT3582R
- APS intercoolerkit
- K&N intake
- Invidia G200

- STi group N incl. Pitch Stop Mount for engine & gearbox
- Syvecs ECU with

- Fuelab fuel pressure regulator
- Aeromotive 340 l/h in tank pump
- Fuelab Prodigy 340 l/h @ 5,5 bar high pressure pump

- Oil catch/breather tank
and all the other small stuff such as cables/hoses etc...
And some pics:
APS FMIC:

Complete new 2.35 engine, it will be disassembled since we need to place Arrow crank in it (2.5 STI crank chills there now) and convert it to 14mm head studs. Furthermore it has (as already described above) Pauter rods, CP pistons and other modifications already placed.

Perrin GT35 kit... This is however a GTX30 version of it and is someone else's, thats why still wrapped. Of course, I will post pics of mine too, as soon as it arrives.

Oil cooler, again not mine (will be probably slightly bigger), but you get the idea.

6 speed gearbox and Exedy Twin plate clutch.

What are my plans with it? Time-Attack in Holland
I will probably racing for Jeroentje.nl Tuning team, since they did all the work on my car so far, so you can make predictions on my car's future styling:

What numbers are we expecting? Around 700 bhp on E85 and low 10 or under 10 sec 1/4 mile, but its real purpose is track.
Finally here are some recent pics that were taken few weeks ago during a JDM "Wangan Warriors Meeting"

I thank you all who have read this thread completely, excuse me if I forgot something and I will be glad to receive comments, questions and all other type of feedback

Thank you Tony

I am hoping to come close to this one...
He is running 850 bhp, but it costed him over GBP 150k and unfortunately I don't have that money yet :P However his extra costs are coming from other custom-made parts, such as kevlar rims, synchro gearbox etc. So power wise, it is possible for me.
