350z vs skyline
Im in the market for a 350z, have driven one, loved it, and a friend just bought one and its pretty sweet.
Unfortunatly when I go out, theres I and 3 others, and 350's dont have back seats.
So im looking at the R35 350GT

Does anyone have one or any experience of one?
Most seem to come in automatics, but without paddle shift, so it might take the "sportiness" away from the drive?
I cant test drive one, the closest one for sale is 350 miles away, and no one I know owns one.
Many thanks

Well the skyline is called the Infiniti G35 stateside, to clear it up a little. The g35 Is a great car, terrible interior. And also the back seats of the skyline are basically for groceries, I wouldn't want to sit back there for an extended time.
What about e46 328s? I'd rather have that

I was dead set on a 330ci but the 350z is alot more fun to drive, has 70hp more, lovely exhaust noise, and is cheaper to boot!

The V35 skyline aka G35 in USA is an ok car. Here we see it as a sportier version of the 350z (which it really is considering Nissan and Infiniti are the same). They are good reliable cars (from what I hear). I found the 350z to be boring to drive but that is just me. Both good cars though.

I've had some good seat time in a 6-speed 350Z, and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a reliable car, well balanced, handles well. Maintenance cost is relatively low for what you're getting. To compare the two, would be comparing a red apple and a green apple. They have subtle differences (like interior and # of seats) but they are the exact same when you break it down. If seats are a concern, it's obvious the V35 is your choice. I'd favor the BMW mentioned though, cant go wrong!

my buddy has a G35, its a great car, i think hes up to 80k+ mileage now and no major probs, interior still seems good quality, everything functions properly, and he beats on it pretty regularly.
ive borrowed it a few times, and i think it makes a great daily driver, and the back seats arent too bad... just stuff the girls back there
not to mention, its way better looking than 350z IMO"I spent 90% of my money on women, cars, and booze. The other 10% I wasted."

G35 and 350z are almost exactly the same except for the g35 having 2 back seats, slightly longer, more restrictive stock intake, nicer interior. If you are looking for a daily driver, I'd choose the g35 but for a track car the 350z would be my choice.

I currently own a 07 g35s and have been very impressed with the performance of the vehicle. Obviously the 07 sport model is a little different then what you have pictured in your op, but the auto with paddles is pretty fun. It has great excelleration(for what the car is) and is quite reliable. I think the interiors are a little better in the 07+ models compared to the 06 and older.

Came from a Supercharged G35 to TT G35 and now a GTR. The G35 I had for 8 years, great car and very mod friendly. More luxurious then the 350z for DD, but if you want track/race car then the 350 is the way to go. A 350z vs a G35 with same mods, the 350z always wins.
